Chocolate lava cakes

This desert can be made ahead and placed in the oven before serving. This is an elegant dessert that everyone will love not too sweet and not too chocolatey but just perfect. Everyone loves to break into this and watch the chocolate just ooze on their plate 

  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 oz semi sweet chocolate
  • 1 1/4 c powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 c flour

Preheat oven to 425° and spray four custard cups with nonstick cooking spray

melt butter and chocolate in microwave on high stirring every 30 seconds until melted and combined. Stir in sugar until well combined then add eggs egg yolks and vanilla mix well then fold in the flour.

  • Divide the mixture evenly between the four custard cups.  Bake until the sides are firm but the center is still soft approximately 13 minutes remove from oven and let cool for approximately one minute on a cooling rack.  Invert onto serving plate and serve with fresh whipped cream raspberry sauce or simply dust with powdered sugar
